Meet Mike

Bremerton is my home. I was born and raised here in Kitsap County and graduated from South Kitsap High School as well as Olympic College.

While in High School I enlisted as an Infantryman in the U.S Army. I quickly progressed through the ranks, served in numerous leadership roles from mid-level management, senior staff, and administrative management – retiring as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer in the Washington Army National Guard. My time working for Generals in senior staff positions honed best management practices for running an efficient office and Staff. Because of my demonstrated leadership ability, I was often placed in charge of others senior in rank. During my first tour in Iraq, I helped the Iraqi people secure and administer their first national democratic elections.

For over 13 years, I served and protected our county as a Deputy Sheriff and Corrections Officer. I was elected to and served as a member of the Bremerton City Council. During this time, I worked tirelessly to reduce the tax burden on our citizens, efficiently spend taxpayer dollars, served on several committees and was the Chairman of the Public Works committee.

While working in the private sector for Fortune 500 companies, I served in senior level management positions and on several occasions managed divisions with over 1000 employees, reporting and interfacing with our board of directors.
